The first Seoul Tech Impact Hackathon 2023 was a fantastic event focused on combining coding skills with a purpose to create positive change. It welcomed coders of all skill levels to participate in creating and innovating for a real-world impact, aiming to build a brighter digital future.
The event was a hybrid of in-person and online participation, offering workshops and networking opportunities for both types of attendees. The two-day hackathon included informative workshops alongside project development, with the first day dedicated to team organization and project initiation, and the second day focused on project completion and presentation to judges.
We had some amazing finished projects, and our team of judges had an impossible choice to decide between the top three submissions. We can't wait to see how these projects develop in the future!

“Participating in this hackathon provided each of us with unique and valuable experiences. Personally, this was my second time attending a hackathon, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this event. The hackathon provided a refreshing break from my routine work, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to building something meaningful and enjoyable. This experience reminded me of the joy that comes from creating something useful for both myself and my community.

“I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to be a judge at the very first Seoul Tech Impact Hackathon yesterday. This weekend was a whirlwind of innovation and collaboration as participants dove headfirst into the challenge of using technology to create solutions with a social impact. In just 24 hours, these teams went from concept to prototype, forming partnerships and coding their hearts out.

“Last month I participated in a hackathon organized by Seoul Tech Impact in Lunit’s office in Gangnam. Long story short, the challenge was to find a project idea that would help a social cause, that would be helpful to anyone, and to develop a live MVP for it. All of that within a 24 hours range. ... Huge thanks to them and to the organizers of this weekend, it was a long 36hours-straight without sleep but it was such a fun experience. On to the next one!
